Potential contributors are invited to submit the following types of contributions:
Abstracts
Abstracts of up to 500 words, describing original research will be screened by the program committee. A selection of high-quality submissions will be accepted for presentation at the conference and included in the Conference Proceedings, handed out during the event.
Abstracts should be written in English and provided as a PDF file or Word file. Deadline for submission of abstracts is September 20th, 2011.
Full papers
Full-paper submissions of up to 5000 words, describing original and unpublished research may also be submitted for international peer review. A selection of high-quality submissions will be accepted for presentation at the conference and included in the Conference Proceedings, handed out during the event. The best peer-reviewed papers will also be considered for publication in a special issue of The Cartographic Journal centering on Mercator, to be published in late 2012, following the journal’s editorial policy.
Papers should be written in English and provided as a PDF file or Word file following the formatting guidelines of The Cartographic Journal.
Deadline for submission of full papers is October 15th, 2011.
All submissions must be sent electronically via the online submission system (remote site UGent).
